In the State of Texas there are over 50,000 children and youth in DFPS conservatorship every year. These children and youth have suffered traumatic experiences in their life and need safe and loving care. Oftentimes, children and youth who have experienced trauma will begin having problems in the home, in school and/or in the community.
These children and youth need additional supports to help them recover and heal from these experiences. Creighton Oaks Treatment Center serves children and youth (boys and girls) between the ages of 8-17 who are experiencing behavioral challenges, are at risk of or victims of human trafficking, dealing with drug and alcohol use and children with mental health disorders.
We help each child reduce symptoms, learn to identify/correct errors in thinking and gain skills to manage thoughts that can impact their behavior and improve their lives.
